Tuesday JS Release 48 Linux

Tuesday JS is now available on Linux systems!
Small studios and educational institutions have increasingly started to switch to Linux, mainly because of its availability. With the advent of more user-friendly Linux distributions, its popularity is starting to grow among regular users. Many popular creative applications already have Linux support (like the drawing program Krita). For these reasons, and due to the increased number of user requests, we decided to create a version of the editor for Linux.

Previously, we were skeptical about this platform, considering it more of a technical tool than a creative environment due to the lack of Adobe programs on it as an industry standard. But after working for a long time in the Mint and Red Hat distributions, we changed our minds.

For convenience, the program is packed into deb and rpm files that can be used by most package managers. With their help, everything you need will be automatically added to the right places and shortcuts will be created in the quick access menu.

Other updates:

The editor now runs on the Electron framework, which has increased its speed compared to NW.js

The Windows version will also be distributed in an msi file for installation.

For macOS, there is no longer a requirement to confirm the first launch in the provisioning system.

In the Android version, problems with adding mp3 files to the release archive have been fixed.
